Excellent episode with Dr. Hightower. I found the comment about the body betrayal very profound. My husband was diagnosed and treated for lung cancer at the age of 48; he’d been otherwise healthy his entire life. He made a comment to me one day while lying on the couch after a chemo treatment. He said “I feel cheated.” I think that is another prevailing thought that people have when they experience a major illness, especially if it seems premature for their age.
