Positive Attitude?

Pictures like this make me barf!

All through out my life, I “thought” I had a positive attitude. But the truth is, that I never truly understood just what it really meant until just over a year ago, when a life altering, forever changing event took place that would force me to physically change the way I was thinking.

I had too or I would die.

When we are faced with such challenges in our lives, there’s no self-help book ever written that can answer the questions we pose to ourselves in that moment. No words of wisdom we want to hear from any guru and certainly we don’t want anyone telling us to “just have a positive attitude – things will get better”.

We get angry. That is human nature.

We want someone to blame, some curse or worse and still others like me might yell at the heavens asking “Why?”. Only to realize the deafening silence that befalls us is louder than any sound our ears have ever heard. Yet, it’s in that very silence that the answers can be found. A profound thought if you are willing to ponder.

Who knew?

I never imagined that the day would come when I, (of all people) would talk about this topic. I have a particular bad taste in my mouth for most “Self Help” guru’s. Most of them I have ever seen just re-distill old wine into new bottles. That is a personal opinion of course. However, I also never imagined being faced with the personal challenges I have recently had to overcome.

It occurred to me several months back while on the phone with my mother that what saved me was in fact, the change in my very thoughts. I began to study everything I could find about our thoughts and how they affect us on a physical biological level. What I discovered is amazing really. Right down to the very cells of our DNA every thought we have is transmitted. Think about that for a moment.

What are your thoughts saying?

At our core, we are pure uninterrupted energy in a constant state of flow. Every cell in our being is constantly in communication with every other cell in a balance of perfect equilibrium. WHEN, we learn the power of “right thinking”, as I like to call it. When we learn to shift our thinking, every cell is sent that signal. Do you not believe that has a physical effect on us, we can actually feel?

You better believe it does!

Those who ignore it are doomed to create their own disease.

So the real secret becomes learning to change your thoughts and thought patterns. Learning how to interrupt that pattern of negative thinking that is communicating to every other living cell in your body, which kicks off a chain reaction the likes of which our brains can’t comprehend. A single cell in the human body is doing about six trillion things per second. If that isn’t awe inspiring alone, it has to know what every other cell is doing at the same time. Learning to nourish our cells through our very thoughts can not only bring about emotional changes in our lives, but can actually heal the sick.

It can manifest that which we truly need in our lives and through that shift in our thoughts we can alter the reality we live each and every day.

That’s not a bunch of “Self-Help guru crap” – That is science which when understood transforms into the truest power over our own destiny.

I have never understood something so complete in all my life. You just have to experience it for yourself to truly understand where I am coming from. It’s like trying to force an alcoholic to stop drinking. Not until he or she is ready and willing will the changes take place. I would however, like to add this little bit of wisdom I have lived in my own life recently…

“When you combine the power of right thinking with the universal law of giving that which you seek, the world is yours for the taking.”

No matter what.
