There is no getting around it. But, not all stress is bad, and learning how to deal with and manage stress is critical to our maximizing our job performance, staying safe on the job, and maintaining our physical and mental health.

For workers, infrequent doses of job stress pose little threat and may be effective in increasing motivation and productivity, but too much — and too prolonged — can lead to a downward spiral — both professionally and personally.

After going through this episode it sounds more like you’ve never had a regular job like most people- it feels more like you read about real world jobs in a book rather than experiencing it-

  2. Hi Joshua,
Thanks so much for the honest comments.
Oh I have had plenty of real jobs. Show business isn’t always consistent. Here are some of the jobs I have had in the past. I’ve been a street hot dog vendor, I have been a balloon delivery boy, I have been a factory tour guide, I use to work at “Build-a-bear workshop” selling stuffed animals, I have been a parking lot attendant, I have worked in a warehouse, I use to work at “Starbucks”. I have worked in retail stores, I have worked at an HIV outreach center, I have been a concierge at the Venetian Hotel & Casino… just to name a few. Trust me when I say that my life has not been easy at all. Life is a series of cycles, sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down. The secret is in learning the proper skills to help you through the tough times, something I have a lot of personal experience with.
    Thanks again for posting!
    Steven
