What I’m Thankful For

It’s a day of thanks. Time to laugh, surrounded by friends to reflect and be grateful for what we have.
Not what we desire.
So I’ve been thinking today about just that and here is what I am thankful for:
I’m so thankful and grateful for the abundance of love, laughter, friendship, health and passion for living in my life. If you are reading this, I’m grateful for you too.
I am thankful for all I have been allowed to accomplish in my life, the miles I have traveled and those I have shared it with. I am thankful for the good times as well as the bad, because the bad times have served to teach me things I truly needed to know.
I am grateful for a family who through great personal struggle has finally learned to love each other for who and what we are. I’m grateful for the people in my life that have taught me so much, for better or for worse. I am grateful for their understanding, their joy, their wisdom and their patience with the crazy imperfect life I live.
I am grateful for those who have crossed my path and served to teach me great lessons in life. I’m grateful for those who’s lives I have crossed and in some small way helped to find a better path to follow. I am grateful and so very thankful for the chance to live in this day and time. I am grateful and thankful for the many who have laughed with me, at me and even cursed my name. I am thankful for each day I am given yet another chance to get up, feel alive and make the most with what I have to share. Life is what WE make it. Not what we are given. I am thankful for the chance to learn and grow and feel and simply be. I am most thankful for the chance to be me.
It’s been 41 years of great struggle, laughter and of course, some pain. I wear it like a badge of honor and thankful all the same.
We each have something to teach, to share, to give in this world of ours. When you open yourself up to help those around you, you are blessed with more than you could ever desire.
Give thanks today for the things that money can’t buy.
For the people you will think about just before you die.
Because nothing else really matters.
This I know for sure.
Happy Thanksgiving, no matter how rich, no matter how poor.
These are things I know for sure.

Perfect Thanksgiving sentiments…I could not have said it better myself…thank you for your inspiring words!
Hi Brice..
Thank you. It means a lot to me when someone “gets something” from what I share.
Peace,
Steven
