David Carradine’s Hollywood Manager Talks About Stress

Marina Anderson pic 2

Marina Anderson, actress, and the former personal manager and ex-wife of the legendary actor David Carradine, knows a thing or two about dealing with stress.

So I have asked her to tell her story in a series of articles leading up to the death of one of the world’s most famous, most controversial and most respected Hollywood actors.

The 72-year-old actor was found dead on June 3rd of 2009 hanging nude in a closet of his Bangkok hotel room with his hands tied in front of him. He was on location filming what would be his final movie.

The media and Hollywood often creates the illusion that being rich and famous is the answer to all of your troubles. Marina Anderson can tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. They call her “The Flying Goddess” and it’s with great pleasure that we welcome her to StopStressingNow.Com

Here’s Marina Anderson –

Did someone say STRESS?!

I can identify.  Boy! Can I identify!  Seems like one stress factor is taken care of and another one rears its not so little frazzling entity to drain people.

They say it’s not the problem that causes the stress, it’s how you handle the problem.  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Well, how do you find the right tools to be able to handle the problem? I’ve tried feng shui, numerology, astrology, a countless list of spiritual advisors…you name it…massage, to help de-stress.  Bubble baths are great too!  Being a “Reverend” myself, hands-on healing works wonders.  More about that in future blogs.

I’ve been asked, “Is it different dealing with stress if you are married to a celebrity?”  Celebrity”ism” brings its own different demons along for the ride.  There are definitely different stress situations and those situations are magnified being with a celebrity or for the celeb themselves.  Just being out doing ordinary errands and having the press/paparazzi follow you around is one. Count your blessings if you don’t have to deal with such a thing.

But to nutshell it, I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Yes, I’m an original Valley Girl – only we never talked like Moon Zappa did on her record.  Fer sher!  My family has strong ties in the movie and music industries and I’ve been acting since I was thirteen years old.  To diversify, I got into production work and writing and all the arts and crafts you can imagine.  I’m a professional makeup artist, painter, sculptor, teacher.  I put my heart and soul into every creative endeavor because it’s what I love. My passion.

That passion led me to guest star on a show in Toronto, Kung Fu,The Legend Continues, where I united with David and history was made.  He got sober and I introduced him to Quentin Tarantino. I wish I could say the sobriety lasted after we separated, but I can’t.  I talk about all of it and then some in my book – David Carradine, The Eye Of My Tornado, which is scheduled for release in June of this year.  I hope my experiences, will help others.

In future blogs, I’ll get into those various experiences and scenarios that I’ve had with David as well as other relationships in the Hollywood entertainment industry.  Also most important, how I dealt with it all without turning to drinking, drugs, smoking or binge eating.

I’ll also be talking more about spiritual experiences and how I’ve applied it to daily living to help get through some extremely tough times.  I designed The Flying Goddess and The Flying Adonis jewelry charms that will also be on the market soon.  They are the creations that came out of focusing on the positive, beautiful things during a time of great pain. Until next time: Women are all Goddesses and men are all Adonis’.  We were born that way.  Just remember your inner power, which gives you wings to fly!
