An entrepreneur takes the vision of an idea and turns it into reality. Matt “Red” Boswell has been doing just that all his life. Founder and CEO (Chief Excrement Officer) of Pet Butler, the nation’s largest pet waste cleanup service, Boswell created a unique and somewhat wacky business concept with a mission to make the lives of pet owners more convenient, enjoyable, and safe, and to benefit animals, the environment and local communities, which has turned into a hyper-growth, multi-million dollar franchise with over 140 locations in 28 states across the United States.

His success has sparked national attention as Boswell has been featured across the country as the marketing and business guru behind his extraordinary concept, Pet Butler, in The New York Times, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Paul Harvey, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, Franchise Times, ABC, Yahoo!, Entrepreneur and numerous other publications.

Diana Lewis Jewell has been called everything from “the guru of gray hair,” to “Moses leading us out of the wilderness of hair coloring” as the author of Going Gray, Looking Great!, the first book of its kind for women considering letting their silver shine.

The Former Marketing Director of Vogue Magazine and Promotion Director of Seventeen, In early 2008, she founded www.goinggraylookinggreat.com, dedicated to women even thinking about going natural. Here, she dispenses advice daily, helping women go through the dreaded transitioning process, select the right makeup and wardrobe for their newly silvered locks, consider coloring procedures or haircare products that might boost or enhance their gray, and, indeed decide if going gray is right for them.

The website has fostered a strong, supportive community, is logged into in 80 countries around the world, and has an active Membership chatting daily on its pages.
She points out that “going natural” is a megatrend not envisioned at the time she wrote the book. “We’re now seeing two generations embracing authenticity, both boomers and Gen-Xers,” she says, “and it has to do with so many factors beyond a simple decision to stop coloring.”

Tonight, I found out that one of the most special people in my entire life -EVER - Rodolfo Paredes (46yo) , Journalist, and Executive Director and Executive Producer of TVN in Santiago, Chile suddenly died on a flight from Spain heading back to Chile. There are few people in this world who have touched my life as he did over the ...20 years that we were friends.

I am devastated that my closest friend and brother is gone. The world has lost one of the greatest minds to ever think, and human beings to have ever walked this earth.
Tonight, I found out that one of the most special people in my entire life -EVER – Rodolfo Paredes (46yo) , Journalist, and Executive Director and Executive Producer of TVN in Santiago, Chile suddenly died on a flight from Spain heading back to Chile. There are few people in this world who have touched my life as he did over the …20 years that we were friends.

I am devastated that my closest friend and brother is gone. The world has lost one of the greatest minds to ever think, and human beings to have ever walked this earth. I can only strive to be a fraction of the man that “Rudy” was. He taught me how to care for people and why we should. He taught me about what truly mattered in this world. I love him dearly and will miss him forever and one day. I only wish the world could have known him as I did.

Gone Too Soon <—- Click Here To Listen To One Of Rodolfo’s Favorite songs.

I find myself so angry and feeling so alone that the only person in this world I truly trusted with every fiber of my being has just been taken away not just from me, but from the world. This was a man that fed me when I had no food to eat. A man who gave me shelter when I had no place to stay. A man who was there by my side the moment I found out that my father had passed away. A person who showed me great compassion, respect and love, the likes of which I had never known in my life.

Rodolfo Paredes was one of a kind. A brilliant mind, a human being of extraordinary intellect and a sense of humor that would simply make you pee in your pants. He spoke many languages. Could relate to anyone of any race, background or belief. He was filled with compassion and helped so many people without a single soul ever knowing. His kindness was that of a silent saint and the actions of his life spoke volumes about the character, morals and pure humanity that he was.

I am angry he is gone. I am angry because I didn’t tell him just one more time how very much he taught me and meant to me as a brother in my life. His brilliant mind was like no other and being that he was so famous, in public, he was always very reserved. However, I was privileged and honored to get to know him from the deepest part of his soul. I knew the real Rodolfo that his many fans and coworkers never got to see. I have never met a more special human being and I am completely devastated at this loss.

I thank you “Rudy” for everything you taught me. For everything you did for me and for all of the amazing food you cooked every Friday night. You were to me the brother I never had. The friend that all of us dream of having and I am so blessed to have known you as I did.

Rest my friend.

Fore you have lived more then most.

Your eternal brother,

Everyone loves the White House, including the hordes of movie, television, music and opera stars, the famous athletes, the celebrities du jour, the heads of state and government, and the political power players who visited every day. White House Story is filled with amusing stories about her encounters – the ones that went well, and the ones that, well, not so much…

From brilliant Easter Egg Rolls (look – it’s Robert de Niro!) to tours for the Grateful Dead and the former Queen of Greece (on the same day), Melinda’s days were filled with excitement, fun, and an unbelievably high level of stress. Her book is painfully honest – the good times, the very good times, and the broken-hearted times too. The White House is the world’s most famous house, but it’s still a mystery to most people. Melinda loves to throw open those doors and invite people in, with her book, speeches and interviews. These are stories you won’t hear anywhere else!

There was no more “inside” insider than Melinda Bates, and in White House Story she takes the reader along on what President Clinton called, “a hell of a ride.”

Creighton Wong – was born with a congenital defect that caused him to have missing fingers on both hands and required his right leg to be amputated above the knee.

He spent the first 25 years of his life participating in team sports, but never rode a bicycle or ran long distances because his disability made it very difficult for him to do so without expensive adaptive equipment. It wasn’t until his thirties, after being inspired by CAF athlete Sarah Reinertsen’s story of becoming the first female amputee to finish the Ironman that Creighton decided to train for a triathlon himself. With assistance from CAF, Creighton completed the San Francisco Triathlon in 2008 and has gone on to compete in numerous triathlons.

An avid CAF supporter, Creighton has been involved through fundraising, mentoring, racing, and helping coordinate CAF events. This will be Creighton’s second time participating in the Avia Wildflower Triathlons.

Creighton says: “It has been very rewarding being able to help newly injured adults or injured veterans “become whole” again through the power of purpose through sport. Also, dear to my heart, I want young children with disabilities to have the opportunity to participate in sport – and there is no better way to do this than by “showing” them it can be done. In short, I want them to have opportunities that were unavailable when I was growing up.”
